FRIDAY INSPIRATION

Heres a little Friday inspiration for all of you. :) "Whether it’s to discover the latest in current muses – exposed or for a taste of our subculture of urban fairies escaping on some adventure into desolate Americana, Olivia Malone’s photography always conveys an aspect of raw documentary. She has developed an aesthetic that is both soft and provocative, editorial and authentic. Her photos always seem to capture this documentary notion of each character where you feel that for that moment you have really entered a piece of their life."

DECAY AND DECADENCE

Love this Editorial by Cristine Leone & Melissa Carew so much. This dark, moody, avaunt-garde story resembles 1930′s surrealist movies and 1980s hammer horror production. Using the Chapel as a backdrop they explore the relationship between decay and decadence.

VITA YANG FASHION ILLUSTRATIONS

"Taiwanese Fashion illustrator Vita Yang holds a MA Footwear Design degree in De Montfort University. Her illustration works can be seen in Vogue Taiwan, The Big Issue Taiwan, Elle Taiwan. She has also collaborated with Nigo’s Human Made, illustrated for the S/S 2011 collection on the official website. Series work: “This is why I miss London so much.” was awarded of Nigo Prize and also chosen work of American Illustration 30."

Theres nothing we dont love more then some amazing fashion illustration, it helps you remember where fashion comes from. It all starts from an idea that someone sketches down on paper, then it comes to life in such a perfect way that it effects you positively or negatively, but no matter what, it gives you a certain feeling AND THAT IS SPECIAL. It makes us so happy that people are still drawing and still being recognized for it too.

Fred Butler A/W11

"Fred Butler is a props stylist and accessories designer based in London. Directed by Elisha Smith-Leverock and styled by Kim Howells her a/w 2011 “Incandescent Meta-morph-incessant” collection pieces, are mixture of colorful geometric shapes and luminescent materials unite with the dreamlike visual aesthetic of the director to create perhaps this great fashion film."

"Fred works with art directors, stylists and photographers to create imaginative one-off pieces for fashion stories to enhance the aesthetic of a shoot. Her work is characterized by the inclusion of everyday object to create a kitsch yet elegant aesthetic."
"Here are images of patchwork paper, playing around with painting via collage instead of actual paint. I’ve transposed my hobby and routes of designing paper-cut art into my accessories. Accumulating origami squares is the best source for collecting rare color and I initially fell in love with the craft by default, looking at instruction manuals when I bought the packs of paper. I wanted to celebrate this history to my story and run with the idea.”
